Best Practices During This Time

Simple & best practices for handling coronavirus is the same tried and true way we use to steer any viruses.
  1. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If that's not available, use hand sanitizer.
  2. Stay at home if you feel ill.
  3. Cover your mouth when you cough with a tissue and then throw it away and wash your hands again.
  4. Remove sugar from your diet (a general rule to live by). But sugar does hold the immune system hostage. There are studies showing that if you consume 300 or more calories from sugar in a serving, your immune system function drops by up to 50% for several hours. In the place of sugar add lots of vegetables and a little fruit. Avoid inflammatory foods.
  5. Exercise as often as possible. Even 30 minutes of light-to-moderate exercise on most days of the week is ideal.
  6. Get enough sleep. Your body needs time to recover - as it always does.
  7. Take care of your older family and friends - they are more susceptible for risk of infection. Especially those who are immuno-compromised.
  8. Be and stay positive. Fear and anxiety is a breeding ground for a weaker immune response.
